Andrew Wishnia is a Senior Advisor at LSN Partners, where he advises clients on climate policy.
Before joining LSN, Andrew served as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Climate Policy in the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Transportation Policy in the U.S. Department of Transportation. In this role, Wishnia was instrumental in creating and implementing the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) and Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), two breakthrough pieces of legislation that significantly enhanced climate solutions in the United States. These pieces of legislation have led to tremendous investments in transit, rail, active transportation, public charging infrastructure, incentives for electric vehicles, and growth in American production and supply chains.
Wishnia previously served as Senior Policy Advisor to the Committee on Environment and Public Works in the U.S. Senate, and Special Assistant for Policy at the Federal Highway Administration as well as Senior Program Manager at the White House Council on Environmental Quality under the Obama administration.
Earlier in his career, Andrew served in the U.S. House of Representatives as a legislative assistant to Congressman John Yarmuth, and Congressman James Oberstar, former House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure Chairman.
Andrew attended Mitchell Hamline Law School, where he received his law degree, and currently resides in Washington, D.C., with his family.
