Neil Ohlhausen is a Senior Associate at LSN Partners. Neil focuses on federal affairs and has significant experience in representing state interests before the federal government. Neil understands the complex relationship underpinning the federalist system and supports clients with national legislative and regulatory monitoring, developing advocacy strategies, and building relationships.

Neil previously worked in Government Relations for the National Governors Association. He supported governors’ priorities on technology, transportation, infrastructure, telecommunications, and numerous other issue areas in this capacity. He helped governors voice opinions on the preemption of state authority in federal autonomous vehicle legislation, advocacy for increased federal investment in broadband infrastructure, and assisted the staff of Governors’ offices to properly utilize the state stabilization funds in the COVID-19 relief legislation.

Neil is a native of Fairfax, Virginia. He attended the University of Virginia and received a Bachelor of Arts in Government with a concentration in American Politics. He currently lives in Falls Church, Virginia, with his wife.
