Elliot “Lee” Sander is Senior Advisor of Transportation and Infrastructure at LSN Partners.

As one of the foremost experts in America on public transportation and infrastructure, Lee brings unparalleled knowledge and insight to the clients of LSN Partners.

In addition to his position at LSN Partners, Lee is Vice Chairman at an engineering firm and of the Greater Jamaica Development Corporation. He is also a Director on the Board of Regional Plan Association (RPA) and the Edge Foundation.

Prior to joining LSN, Lee served as Chief Executive of several of the highest profile organizations in the transportation and infrastructure sector, including Bombardier Transportation Americas, AECOM Global Transportation, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) of New York, Commissioner of the NYC Department of Transportation, and Managing Director of Global Transportation at Hatch. Lee also served as Chairman of the Regional Plan Association (RPA), Senior Independent Director of the Board of National Express, and as a Commissioner on the NYC Taxi and Limousine Commission. After 9-11 at the request of Governor George Pataki, Lee led the development and then helped implement the $4.5 billion transportation plan for Lower Manhattan, including the iconic Fulton Transit Center and the new South Ferry station. He also led the campaign for passage of the multi-billion New York State Transportation Bond Act in 2006 and is credited with restarting the Second Avenue Subway. The NY Times profiled Lee and his ability to successfully lead organizational turnarounds in large, complex organizations. Lee believes in teaching the next generation, so he founded the Rudin Transportation Center at NYU, where he taught transportation policy and management. He has lectured in various schools, including: the John F Kennedy School of Government at Harvard, Cooper Union, and City College.

Lee is an active instrument rated pilot and in his spare time enjoys flying his Mooney.
